The Journey Ahead
From mountain snow gums to the seaweed-covered shores of Cape Conran.
One of Snowy River Cycling's original adventures is making a return.
Snow Gums to Seaweed takes you on a remarkable journey through East Gippsland, from the remote high country around Gelantipy, through the deep gorges of the Snowy River and ancient forests of Errinundra, all the way to the wild coastline of Cape Conran.
Along the way, you'll experience changing landscapes, incredible views, wildlife and small country towns that few visitors get to explore.
With six days of cycling, comfortable country accommodation, all meals and two of our local team looking after you, this is a chance to experience some of the most remote and beautiful parts of East Gippsland without having to worry about the logistics.

The journey
Stays: Gelantipy (2 nights) · Delegate (2 nights) · Marlo (2 nights)
Meet in Orbost before travelling by vehicle into the high country around Gelantipy.
Our first ride explores the quiet gravel roads around Tulloch Ard, surrounded by mountain forests and dramatic views across the Snowy River country.
Return to Karoonda Park, our home for the next two nights, for a hearty country dinner.
Accommodation: Karoonda Park, Gelantipy
Today we head further into Victoria's remote alpine country.
After transferring to our starting point, ride towards Native Dog Flat, a beautiful high-country setting surrounded by snow gums and mountain landscapes.
This region is also home to wild brumbies, which we may be fortunate enough to spot during our journey.
Enjoy a day in the mountains before returning to Karoonda Park for another evening of country hospitality.
Accommodation: Karoonda Park, Gelantipy
A spectacular day in Snowy River National Park.
We begin with a transfer to Little River Gorge, where we'll take time to appreciate the breathtaking views into Victoria's deepest gorge.
From here, ride the winding mountain road towards McKillops Bridge, one of the most remarkable locations on the Snowy River.
After exploring the bridge and river, we transfer to the small country town of Delegate, where we'll spend the next two nights.
Today we explore one of East Gippsland's most remarkable wilderness areas.
Travel to the Errinundra Plateau for a ride through towering eucalypt forests, cool temperate rainforest and remote mountain country.
The plateau is home to magnificent old-growth forests, including some extraordinary Shining Gums.
There will be time to stop, explore and take in the surroundings before transferring back to Delegate for dinner and another night at the historic pub.
Today our journey begins its descent towards the coast.
We leave Delegate and travel south, enjoying another section of cycling through the forests of Errinundra.
Experience the changing landscape as the high-country forests gradually give way to the lower, greener country of East Gippsland.
Following our ride, we transfer to Marlo, a peaceful coastal village near the mouth of the Snowy River.
Accommodation: Marlo
From snow gums to seaweed!
Our final riding day takes us to the spectacular coastline of Cape Conran.
Cycle along quiet coastal roads through banksia woodlands and heathlands, with time to explore the beaches and discover the seaweed and marine life washed ashore.
After six days exploring the mountains, rivers and forests of East Gippsland, there's something special about finally reaching the ocean.
Return to Marlo for our final evening together.
Accommodation: Marlo
Enjoy one last breakfast together before our Snow Gums to Seaweed adventure comes to an end.
